While use of multiple cameras may not sound realistic now for a consumer use case, I can definitely see this as a possibility for future television or movie production.

The barrier stopping consumer 3D from really catching on with the mass market has always been -

1. Comfort
2. The ability to enjoy with others in the same physical space.

Looking Glass displays do both of those the best.

The cost of 30 cameras or more is a trivial problem now that the display technology and video processing and Gaussian splat technology like this is coming together.

The value of comfort and enjoying with others close is far higher than most realize.

Television production companies will pay for the cameras if people will watch and content creators will create content if people will watch.

If comfort and the ability to enjoy with others is not there, everything upstream breaks down.

Now with display technology like Looking Glass and Gaussian Splat technology like this it is extremely exciting times!

Its not holographic. Its a lenticular stereoscopic screen. 😊
