Well said. I wear a KN95 everywhere still. I live with my parents who are in their 70s and my mother is immune-compromised. Even though she's mega vaxxed, I don't want to be the person who gives her covid, and I don't want to get it. I'm in Canada, and people are running around like this is over. It's not over. I study pandemic history and these things take more time... but yanno... I will happily protect myself, and if other people want to risk it, that's on them. I just don't have it in me to worry about other people anymore.

Similar deal in Germany, in general there are no Masks required with some exceptions like Hospitals, Nursing Homes and sheltered Workplaces. The latter of wich I work at and still wear one when going shopping.

They stopped demanding masks at schools where I live, teachers still used but students can do whatever. Took a week to get over 7 teachers from one class sick with covid again, my mom included. When we think it's done and masks are less used it just happens all over again where I live.

It's really jarring that the attitude of covid is that it's over, when it's the highest in my area that it's ever been. Ironically, when covid regulations were highest, nobody in my area had even been exposed yet. One wonders the correlation.... lmfao

Hudson Valley NY here.. Covid is NOT over. I know a while family who is sick with it now.
School doesn’t mandate masks nor almost anywhere else. But my kid wears it and we do too. About 1/3 of middle school kids and 99% of teachers wear them. I think we are heading into a rise and hopefully summer outdoorsy stuff will help.

a lot of specialists are also lifting mask restrictions, because they don't see it nearly as often. I work primary care, and pts specifically come to us BECAUSE we will diagnose and treat covid symptoms. it's for this reason that we request people wear masks inside, and people get irate because "this is the only office that still does this." Well, yeah, Chad, that's because we still get covid+ patients in here every day. if you don't want to wear the mask, we have a bench outside in the 95° heat with 70% humidity you can wait on. i'd like Old Mr. Jones NOT to get whatever is causing your cough, thank you.

My two small children and I have covid, it’s been about 8 days, I seem to be getting conflicting information on quarantine time between my Dr and the kids pediatrician. What’s a safe time frame? We’ve been isolated from my husband who has not got covid from us and we just want to make sure he’s safe ☺️

In countries like mine where most people haven't been vaccinated. The numbers still went down, but that's thanks to the Omicron wave that contaminated almost everyone. And I wonder if it's not the case for your countries too. I don't say that vaccines are useless, I'm just saying that they're not the only thing that made the numbers go down

For those who are happy to nerd out on details (and I realize not everyone is), an N95 mask will filter out 95% of all particles of 0.3 micron size. There are also N99 and N100 masks, which filter out 99% and 99.97% of all particles 0.3 microns or larger.

I live alone and as a coder/ provider educator, I work remote. Still, I do go out and hang with friends and such. I was able to get the second booster; I’ll take as many shots as they’ll give me!! 👏😄
