In this video we will learn how to use Inductive proximity sensor with Arduino Uno. This sensor is only can detected metal in range of 5mm distance but the range is depend on which model you use.
I use relay as action actuator because this is for demostration purpose only.
I hope it will help to understand for beginers. Thanks for your support to subscribe my chanel.

This is what I was looking for. On my project, I used 12v for my sensor, but the ground connection is totally different because I used an optocoupler back to Arduino board GND near the 13pin and it works. Now I can get rid of my optocoupler to simplify my wiring connection.

are you connecting 12 V directly to Arduino pins which are rated at 5 V? does that work without causing problems?

if the dynamic voltage supply is in the range of 12 to 30 volts does it not cause problems or is there a difference in sensor responsiveness?

Hi sir.. are you using 2 power supply? If yes, is it safe to short the 5v and 12v GROUND of different source of power supply?

can this be used in separating cans and plastics?

What's the range of this sensor and how rugged is it. I'm have a hard time with hcsro4. The code spoils it

can I use this code but for conductive proximity sensor? does that make any difference?

Good day sir!. I'm new to this type of work and I was planning to create a invention which involves sensors for my research. I already had the materials such us Arduino Mega, breadboard, inductive sensor, and the other sensors. The question that I have in mind after testing, does inductive sensor work without a relay and also you have said in this video that inductive "Need extra 12VDC to work" does the word "work" line to the principle of sensor detection? Or it is just line to the principle of close and open? because the thing is my inductive sensor always detect an object without putting an object close to its range, I have tried the code for arduino and inductive sensor, I have also tried the pictoblox thing but non of those work to solve the problem. Hoping for your quick reply to this comment of mine, thank you and have a great day!

Hi sir..
The inductive proximity sensor detects the metal sir...
The issue is that, the digital read values of this sensor does not display the right values, instead it follows some sequence and does not give right output when interfacing it with servo..
Kindly help me in solving this issue..
Thank you

Hi sir, can you do this project with servo motor instead of using bulbs? Thank you sir. 😇🙂

Using inductive sensor mean to use them for metals and somehow I am seeing it get tested on paper and plastic 😂😂
