"No one will ever challenge its power. The city you will build shall be as big as I once dreamed..."
*-Last words of shepherd Remus after being fatally stabbed by his brother Romulus*

The fact that it's called "Empire" is itself a legacy of the Roman Empire as it comes from Imperator meaning successful general more or less

Achaemenians ruled over 44% of the ancient world's population, while Britain ruled over 26% of the world's population, and this is the highest record in history.

I know this is an English channel and there is a lot of disinformation in English history around the Spanish Empire but I think it should be on this list, it's the first global superpower, lasted a few hundred years and most important it left a mark that still is quite visible today (maybe only comparable to that of the Roman Empire)

Amazing how you completely ignored the Spanish Empire

3:33 Actually, it was the Greeks that made the Achaemenids their enemy by supporting a revolt in the Achaemenid empire that was none of their business and eventually it led to the Greco Persian wars

Couldn’t we just include the “Byzantine” empire in with the Romans after all it was founded by Roman’s, they called themselves Roman’s, they were Roman’s just with the capitol in Constantinople and lived along side the western half. The term Byzantines was not even used until after the empire as a whole fell in 1453

The greatest empires in terms of size, cultural heritage, longevity, global influence, political impact would be the Roman, British, Spanish, Ottoman, Mongol, and Portuguese empires

Augustus before dying: "I am not afraid of death, as my great Empire will live forever thanks to my worthy sucessors..."

*Later*

Caligula: *Spends the entire Treasure in games and *rgies*
Nero: *Burns Rome only to gain artistic inspiration*
Commodus: *Only participates in gladiatorial games, risking his life like a m*ron*
Caracalla: *Kills his brother and lives as a regular soldier instead of taking care of the Empire*
Elagabalus: *Like Caligula, but this time the only thing he does is trying to find a medic that could turn his p*nis into a v*gina*
Honorius: *Only lives for his birds and doesn't give a sh*t when Rome is sacked*

Augustus' spirit: *Swings depressed rethinking his life decisions*

The Neo-Assyrians, Han and Tang Chinese, Great Seljuks, and Timurids were the strongest empires of their respective periods. Doesnt make sense to skip them and add the short lived Macedonians

The western Roman empire technically started in 753 BC - 476 AD.

It’s crazy that mongols can conquer Russia but not Japan. They really need to work on their naval skills man 👨
Really feel the Arab Spanish and timurid empires deserve some mention, Esp since Hispanics might dominate america in the next 30 yrs
