I grew up poor, and abused in the 60's and 70's. My dad ducked out, then my parents divorced. My home in the projects, was filled with drugs, alcohol, and sexual promiscuity, Even in the poorest and worst of times, I didn't steal, vandalize, and definitely didn't kill anyone. In time I MADE A CHOICE to rise above it. Every person has this same choice, no matter where, or how they live, in this United States. Shame on you Michael Eric Dyson.

Judging by the town hall meeting in Chicago where Al Sharpton got the opposite of what he expected, I think it's safe to say that everyone is tired of this race-baiting garbage. We want what Doctor King wanted.

Dyson's comments bring back a memory of a soldier I met once who did not take his own educational background very seriously. This soldier had a PhD, and he referred to it as a "basic Instruction for button pushers" meaning.... PhD = "Push here, Dummy."

I don't see what's wrong with this clip.   I feel Michael Eric Dyson is spot on.  

I bet many of the people who thumbed this clip down didn't even watch the clip.  All Dyson said was if white kids died the same way and as much as black kids, then maybe America will do something about it
