He’s my favorite jazz musician and I had no clue he passed. I was going through a tough time, so I guess I can understand how I missed it. Nevertheless, I wish I had the pleasure of seeing him perform in person. His music will always live on.

A lot of memories. Vernell Fournier, Israel Crosby were an awakening for me I think it was ‘58 when “At The Pershing Lounge “ was released. I kept thinking there’s got to be something better than this pop stuff. Ahmad opened the doors.
