Today we disassemble and clean what I consider to be an excellent first pistol, the Beretta 92 FS. These make awesome home defense, range, truck and go to war pistols. Range report soon to follow!

1911 and Beretta 92 are the two most beautiful pistols ever made.

Out of the Hundreds of You Tube Videos about the Beretta 92 that I have Watched, I find this Video Most Informative Because, from What I have Seen on You Tube, this is the ONLY Video that Covers Dis-Assembly, Cleaning, Re-Assembly and Products to use for Cleaning; AND!, All of that in under 15 Minutes! I would recommend THIS Video to ANYBODY Before other Videos. Great Job travisp11!

Just bought one three days ago…Now watching this intently. I know after about 500-750 rds down the barrel, I’ll probably need to do this. A clean gun is a happy gun after all!

“There’s polishing on the feeding ramp, that’s kinda nice”. That, sir, is a chrome lined barrel.

Thanks a million! This video was so well done and easy to follow. My gun is clean as a whistle and ready to safely hit the firing range.

I watched a few more videos after this one... One thing I saw is everyone else, pushed the rod through the barrel, one way. From the backside and out the front. Didn't pull back and forth. Any wrong or right?

Thanks for the video! I just ordered my first firearm and its an Italian Police surplus 92S. So excited! I bought it as a conversation piece and a home defense pistol. I'm sure I'll take it to the range at least a few times as well.

just shot my first Beretta...a px4 storm in 40 that I got as a police trade for 225...I loved it and supposedly it has the same trigger type as the 92/96. really makes me want to invest in some more Beretta!

Casually talking about the gun while explaining how to clean it, this video is just sublime.

You don’t need to lock the slide back at all?? If you hit the button and lower the level it’ll spring forward a little but the top will not fall off or anything.

I thought your not supposed to clean a barrel from both sides only where the bullet chambers someone said it can interfere with the bullet exiting out the gun if you clean where the bullet exits. is that true ? Or are there current guns you can only do that too just wondering and sorry if that was dumb question lol

The Stoeger Cougars are also awesome pistols. They are kind of a pre PX4 design but they come in 9, .40 and .45, I believe.

My dad and I went in on buying a couple of guns a few years ago and I got to use the Smith and Wesson 38 special and he got the cool WW2 Colt 45 acp. So, I know where you are coming from. Lol! At least it's in the family and I'll get it when he goes home to the Lord. 😉 You and your q tip's... looks like me cleaning my guns too. Q tip's everywhere! Lol! Always a pleasure Travis! God be with you bud! 😀👍

PS...Did you fall in love with the Beretta while seeing it in the Lethal Weapon movie's? I did, the first time I saw Mel Gibson brake that puppy out. Lol! But seriously, that's what did it for me. 😉

The Beretta 92FS is one of my first personal handguns that I've bought. It wasn't my first choice the first handgun I was looking to purchase was the M1911A1. Unfortunately my FFL Dealer didn't have the M1911A1 in stock most of the guns he had in stock at the time weren't my cup of tea. Later I asked my FFL Dealer if he had a Beretta 92FS lucky for me he did and that's how I ended up purchasing my Beretta 92FS.

3:29 That what I do with the magazines. Lightly oil the exterior and the interior and set upright over night to allow the oil to settle our. Then wipe dry.

Technically we’re not supposed to put oil on it and it’s recommend to use a dry lube. Oh well 😢

Side note: it’s a +5% wolf spring for 10 & 15 round 92 mags. Same spring just a dented mag body.

+10% wolf for the 40’s
