One of the best first arcs in Shounen anime. There were so many fantastic moments in this arc. Zabuza and Haku are still among my favorite characters from this series.

This scene was iconic to me, the savagery. The menacing, animalistic nature of Zabuza when he went out. Both of his arm are down and he still brought fear and terror to the group and their boss. It also helped hes voiced by Steve Blum (who voiced Wolverine another savage individual) Great scene

First anime to make be cry. I think that's when I feel in love with the medium.

The conversation after this between Kakashi and Naruto is what got me.

Though I wasn't particularly happy with the over all conclusion of the show the journey was well worth it.

One thing I didn't realise the first time around is that Zabuza's path as a ninja ended exactly as it began. In the beginning, he was a human who became a weapon by killing 100 people in the academy, armed only with a kunai and no ninjutsu. In the end, armed only with a kunai and no ninjutsu (he can't use his hands to weave signs, much like Orochimaru), he became a human again by killing a bunch of people who saw him only as a weapon.

I remember seeing this as a kid on cartoonnetwork. I was surprised they could show blood or violence of this scale back then. Miss the days when censorship was leaner.
