Old computers can STILL be used!

Someone named Sarah has claimed that old PCs can't be used, and that she has to upgrade computers every 3 years. This video proves Sarah wrong, and shows that even a 10 year old PC is still usable and fast!

I also show ways to optimize it and make it work better! These steps will ensure you can still use an old computer today!

Well Julia, I guess I am somewhat wrong. Although, you did do some funny things! I think these claims for good, and I've sent my brother and cousin this video! Keep up the great content. P.S. the only reason I needed to upgrade every 3 years was because of Best Buy Geek Squad claiming I would loose my warranty and membership or something like that. This year I caved in, and chose to loose the membership. I hope to keep my mac until it looses support!

My dad still uses a MacBook from 2012 with a 2018 Mac OS update in it, that was the last of the non-round edges. The US military still uses Windows XP, and a german railway system still uses MS-DOS. I guess they are some things old computers can do that newer ones can’t.

I'm still using a 2011 iMac and a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro for editing my videos and they both are great machines. I use both of them on a daily basis and they still have a great amount of horsepower for what I do, especially on macOS Monterey. I do need to get a new GPU for my Mid 2011 iMac so I can get iMovie to work, but other than that, it works perfectly fine. I mainly just go on the internet for both of these machines and so far, they are still solid machines even in 2023. I upgraded both of them to an SSD and man that can do wonders to many old computers. It can turn it into a slow and old seemingly obsolete computer to something that feels like a brand new computer. Really, old computers are great to upgrade and be used as cheap windows or mac computers!

My 16 years old Lenovo m58p backup computer, with Windows 10 Pro, only takes 24 seconds to power up, and 8 seconds to power down, and it can still handle YouTube videos at 1440p @ 60 fps. The old bucket has 8GB DDR3 ram, a Q9500 Quad core CPU, a 240GB SSD, and a GT 1030 2GB graphics card. I upgraded the original E8400 Dual core CPU to a Q9500 Quad core CPU. That costs about $10 to maybe $14 these days.

used a toshiba with a first gen i3 4gb of ram and a dying hard drive i used it for like 7 months it was usable
also if you have an ssd don't defrag it it will just kill it faster
