California's Supreme Court ruling was unanimous in favor of a San Francisco man who claimed it was unfair for him to be jailed because he was too poor to afford cash bail. Now, the high court says, that ability to pay must also be considered along with a suspect's danger to the public and flight risk when judges set bail.

Bail is unconstitutional as it is. It's supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. Yes charges should be filed on the person, and there are always exceptions, but jail should be for convicted prisoners, who are beyond a shadow of a doubt, guilty. The government needs a better way to monetize their operations.
