Thermonuclear Godzilla VS Evolved Godzilla - Which Is Stronger? Transformations and powerups have been a big staple in numerous works of fiction for several decades. We've seen it in everything from Dragon Ball Z, to Bleach, to Naruto, to Yu Yu Hakusho, and much more! However, we have also seen such a prospect in action within the Godzilla franchise in the form of the Burning Heisei Godzilla who faced off against the demonic kaiju, Destoroyah. Now, with the addition of Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. Legendary Big G has once again obtained a new metamorphosis that's called Evolved Godzilla. But, how strong is this form compared to his Thermonuclear state in the battle against King Ghidorah? Is he even stronger, or about the same? Evolved Godzilla has such a cool design that it would be unfortunate if they got rid of the pink colors which made it unique. Since it was inspired by Kaioken they can probably have it stack onto his normal blue state when he goes into his super charged state. That way they can keep both of the colors without it being a temporary thing.

Maybe similar to the Heisei series where burning is the most powerful but he can’t hold onto that much power for long. Maybe the evolved form can handle higher and more stable forms.

I like that the argument is “who is the strongest?” between both. Strength is defined as the ability to overcome resistance therefore, Evolved Godzilla achieving a power capacity that’s 20x more that what it was in his base form could be argued as “overcoming a resistance” or his base power capacity threshold. Having said that however, I’d like to see a match up where you argue “who’s more powerful?”. Great video as always 😌👌🏾

Literally been telling everyone this from the start but thermo fanboys couldn’t accept that evolved was stronger and ghidorah fanboys couldn’t accept that shimo would low diff ghidorah.

I find getting statements from the GxK novel only a bit ignorant.
There is also the fact, Shimo didn't overwhelm Gidorah in the past, it was a 3v1 with Godzilla, Mothra and Shimo. Also Godzilla was heavily weakened and starved in GvK, I don't think he fully recovered from this.

Something to note is that Burning Godzilla himself is different in G:KOTM's novelization compared to the film, as it's not depicted as something that gives Godzilla a significant edge over Ghidorah, more so resembling the initial fight they had in Boston despite being described as fiery orange as well. So THAT Burning state is something I could easily believe GxK:TNE's Evolved state in the novelization could be higher than if Greg Keyes was working off of his previous novelizations primarily for reference.

HOWEVER.... that's not to say I disagree with the assertion that Godzilla Evolved can't be superior to Burning Godzilla.... just not in his base Evolved state. I believe he only truly reaches and potentially slightly surpasses the sheer raw power output (IN THE FILMS, not the novelizations which are secondary canon) of Burning Godzilla when he overcharges himself into that full-body glow, when he's outputting the "Evolved Spiral Ray" and able to actually sweep it around whereas the overcharged Atomic Breath he used in GvK to drill to the Hollow Earth wasn't controllable.

And even then, I still think Burning Godzilla is something special, coming about as a combination of Godzilla and Mothra coming together in union. That's something that ought to remain potent and beyond most conventional levels of power, signifying the power of their symbiosis and familial relationship in general.

I don't really like Thermo and easily prefer Evolved, but it just doesn't make sense to me that it would be stronger than Thermo.

Thermo Godzilla easily and nearly eradicated Ghidorah in 3 shots, just leaving the middle head.

Despite Kong being powered up, I find it impossible to believe he could daze and last longer against a stronger Godzilla than the one Ghidorah faced off against. And from what we can tell, Ghidorahs attacks had no effect on Thermo.

I believe the comic that showed godzillas ability to sense monsters all over the world because of Mothras sacrifice also said he got a pretty big buff from the sacrifice overall. Aparently, it didn't affect the radiation amount but instead increased his control of the radiation drastically. You can see this in the movies if you compare his more fire like breath in kotm to his Lazer in gvk. Plus, I believe he got a bit taller as well, but that probably always happens.

Hmm, I can see why some believe thermonuclear is stronger than Evo because GxK did a poor job of demonstrating how powerful the form could be in the film.

It's more so because the movie (and by extension, the novel) did a poor job of demonstrating the evolved form's strength rather than simply stating it. For example, in media, it is most typical to demonstrate the difference in power by the scale and actions of a character. This is basic stuff, but the issue with GxK is that they didn't have the time or effort to demonstrate that Evolved was stronger than the thermonuclear. The first fight he's shown involves him being beaten up by Kong and then after that, it's not shown doing much to Shimo (And according to some the novel says that Evo was weaker than Shimo) which begs the question. "How is this form stronger when the first thing people see is it getting beat up and not doing much at all"? Like when you compare them Thermo seems a lot stronger than Evo from a viewpoint(Thermo literally vaporized Ghidorah Meanwhile Evo only used His atomic breath and Raw agility/Raw strength).
Honestly, they could have done a lot with Evolved, including giving him new powers or abilities that demonstrate the strength difference between this form and his previous ones, such as the atomic punch(As a reference to Mecha Godzilla Plasma punch), a purple/pink nuclear pulse comparable to Thermonuclear (without the Mothra wings). Make him do something with the Thagomizer, on his tail? Godzilla's evolved form had enormous promise, but it was abandoned before it could ever realise it.
