This depends on how much you earn per month, not every one earn that amount of money

If I had $5000 extra, I’d either put it into my brokerage/retirement accounts or add it to my emergency fund - I’m trying to get a full year of expenses in there 🤞🏽

I would put $1000 towards debt payments, $100 on a solo dinner date, and the remainder in my high yield savings account 😊

Right now, I'm saving for my son's braces that he's getting in 6 months. I'm determined to pay cash and not go into debt for it. It's so expensive!!

I would split it between debt payments, business investment and savings boost.

This is actually my 3 month goal. It will put my last credit card at 25% usage.

If I have extra $5k, put into Roth IRA or high APY checking/saving account and keep building emergency account.

Great ideas. When we get paid we have a money transfer automatically to our savings account because I know if it was in the checking account I would probably spend it. We also have a specific amount that we never go under in that account. We have a list of things we want to do or purchase. We research the item and then save for it so we can pay cash like when I needed a new washer and dryer. Sometimes we surprise the grandkids 18 and 21 and transfer some money to their accounts from our savings.

If I had $5, 000 cash available I would stash it in my housing savings bucket. I am in NYC it's better to buy than rent.
