I feel called out. I’m literally laying in bed in the middle of the day with a bag of chips and a bar of chocolate.

I call this "hibernation." People think it's funny, but it's my genuine cry for help 😅

Dude thank you for this.

I have been suffering from this when i turned, maybe, at 15 or 16 years old. I am 32 now and it is...rougher these days. And i am missing out on alot with the addition of anxiety.

Kinda helps knowing this is something that i can share with ithers without me being told.

"You are being wierd. Do you love us? "

Etc.

Oh I thought it was my normal depression! Well that explains why I've been eating a lot and craving carbs!😂

Let's just be careful not to assume that this is the case for everyone displaying any of these things. For me with multiple disabilities and chronic illnesses, the change in seasons and colder weather have physical consequences as my body tries to adjust. Hugs and prayers for all who struggle with the changes in season whether it's due to seasonal depression or other things that make it harder to deal with. We'll get through this.

As soon as fall hits and it starts to get cold, joy leaves me

This is 100% accurate though idk how to tell anybody this but it’s not me feeling sad it’s just like I’m tired all the time and don’t have the motivation to do anything

Last year from November to May I would get home from work and sleep and sleep. I never felt more cozy! But my fiance was super worried about me. Excited for my "nesting" season this year (as I call it)🤪

This is how I get specifically the summer time. I love all the other seasons, but in the summer its less comfy outside; its hot, its humid, there are a shit ton of bugs that hate me (wasps, bees, mosquitoes, sweat bees, flys, horse flys etc), creepy neighbors that watch me swim, and a couple creeps that specifically drive down our road to stalk me and my younger brother when were in the pool. So I stay inside and slowly get more and more deppressive. Wierd isnt it?

You should do a video on how to tell your loved ones you are depressed and that you need help.

I’m originally from the Carribbean now residing in the Northeast, USA. I’ve become Americanized in many ways but fall/winter weather is something that after 12 years of living here, I can’t seem to get used to. 😩

And don’t forget you can also have a decrease in appetite, when I get like this (it’s getting really cold where I live) I struggle to get up and eat, everything is so cold and when I do get hungry, I almost always feel sick after making it. Such a struggle.

Bro described period perfectly, bc of this i cannot relate more to the phrase: "why is it always a depression symptom, maby i'm just a woman"
