I built a ring oscillator using a 1.125GHz 74 series logic inverter IC from Potato Semiconductor. It was fun.

"and I found that blowing on the chip makes it run faster"
*blows on potato chip*
*wave goes to the right*
I laughed way too much at that.

You made a TCO = temperature controlled oscillator. A pretty sophisticated way to measure temperature.

Leaving the unused pins open may be contributing to the instabiliy & power draw

"In conclusion, Electronics are fun and naming your company after a dad joke is a great idea!"

"You could make a short range bluetooth jammer... But I'm not going to show you that."

Aww, darn. Take all the fun away. :P

Now I'll just wait for Tomato Transistors and Cucumber Resistors and Sausage capacitors!
hehe

1:40 The construction of the circuit is actually quit good if the decoupling cap is located where it should be (but that's something you'll know about). A dead bug style circuit can have very low stray capacitance. The property you want for this type of circuit.

Laughed out loud when you blew on it to speed it up!

Thanks for showing this company - I'm working on a 74xx CPU design right now and this is perfect for updates I'd planned for revision 2!

so you can make an actual potato computer ;)

Thank you sir. I've been waiting for these for years. The 7474 analog is a great little part for my SDR project (for a quadrature divider). At $2-$3 these are hot little potato chips indeed. :)

Well, I'll pay 1$ for Bluetooth jammer video:)

You can limit the effect of your o-scope by driving a 4th inverter, and taking the output from it.

God, now I want to build one of those 70's era diy cpu kits out of this ttl logic.

This is still one of my favorite YouTube video lol

Back in 1986, I used to call Radio Shack and say "Hi, I wanted to know if you have an RCA CA-3080 transconductance operational amplifier potato chip?". They'd ask me to repeat it a couple of times, unsure if I actually said "potato".

I was a legend in my own mind.

Can you please make the latest video about electrolytic capacitors avaliable for all countries? I am prohibited to watch it...

2:01 Please show us how to do that, rather than telling us how to do that😁😉

*Fun Fact:* There's a potato chip inside the SEGA's VMU.
