Red Dead 2 was the very first game I genuinely cried about at the end. I've never had such an emotional attachment to a video game up until Red Dead. It's hyper-realism, expansiveness, graphics, story, emotions, journey, etc all make the world feel so alive. It's just a cherry on top that it's *HEAVILY* fixated on history as I'm a major history nerd. Such an amazing game. Easily my number 1 for best video game

I think what truly separates RDR2 from any other game is how immersive it is. You basically experience the life of Arthur in almost every way, you follow his main story, side stories, small clues to his past life, random quests, helping strangers, collecting items, taking care of yourself and horse, open world activities, making meals and eating, sleeping in different locations, interacting with NPCs, exploring the map, hunting, fishing, the list goes on. The world feels like real life so the story is almost like a real experience. Combine this with the masterful writing, gradual story progression, and all the great technical aspects of the game. I'll admit the game does have a few nitpick problems but they're so minuscule.
