His full video is really cool. How he handled some if the issues were really smart, and this is probably the best anyone can do to make an invisible katana blade.

For anyone familiar with the novel Snow Crash, the glass knives used by Raven are a more practical application of an invisible weapon; small, concealable, practically invisible in low light and on most scanning tech, disposable and easy to make more.

Would it be better in a dark environment?

His first attempt had a better edge to it, but it distorted things behind it and made it more noticeable. I wonder if it could have advantages over a similarly sized and shaped steel sword as polycarbonate is lighter and stronger than steel on impact

Feel like a longsword with a back edge would make reverse edge strikes a lot harder to see coming, unless you're very used to fighting people with a longsword

I mean… it’s a neat gimmick but you know what they say about tried and true.

It's still visible a true invincible sword would be invisible.

Hey Marcus what the practicality of tungsten or osmium based weapons/armour?

Theres no curve.. the edge is seemingly non functional and it is transparent yes but with dulled, painfully visible edges. Thats not even going to work on someone untrained. Its a non weapon. And painfully obviously so. Really cool toy though, could probably use is with video editing to make some like badass "spirit sword" or "magic sword" style vids.

There's also the fact that it's not invisible at all, hahaha

WANNA "COLLAB" ISH ON A THING DISCUSSING HOW THE NAVY might have below the waterline point defense systems now? I'm certain you've seen DSG technologies cavx right?

At night it'd be ridiculously effective. I gad a duel over a fire pit at night with blunted steel the other night, and it was already pretty gard to see my opponents sword at certain angles.

Hmm, maybe I don't like being that person, but did you know that 'katana' literally means 'sword' in Japanese? So the title of this video is saying 'invisible sword sword' :D

Irrelevant plastic toy. Any worthy close range fighter does not need to see to foresee where the next opponent blow has to come from, even fist fighters do that, it's basic skill if you still can see or even touch the opponents body, you can read what he is doing.
