I've not done a perfume tag for a while and this one was created by Lizzie @roseandjones8390 Lizzie's idea is to choose 4 fragrances that exemplify aspects of your personality and to use these perfumes to explain how you are in real life.

I think your right about similar traits, being emotional, over thinking and having the blunt comments fall out on occasion. It's all part of being an emotionally and genuine person. I do totally relate. I don't like to beat around the bush, and could never understand how people do it. Empathy, honesty and not wasting the moment. I respect and appreciate that approach. 👍. Metal wave is a really decent perfume, and not far removed from Architects Club which coincidently, i choose as my third personality choice 😊.

Introvert and loving our own company, connecting to own thoughts. Snap again 😁 can't believe I've still not tried a Zara perfume ever. I'm definitely missing out 😂

Obsessive is definitely a way to describe this perfume hobby for me. I tend to find one interest, and go all in and full on until it eventually burns out and it's time to throw myself into another. Lolita Lempicka is definitely lizzie approved too 😅

Cancer rising…lol… I flipped over Chocolate Queen because I never smelled anything like it.. and I stand for being uniquely yourself! I also adore Gris Dior, for its sophistication and all around signature scent qualities. 3rd would be BitterPeach dupe..Peach Smash, because it’s happy and uplifting. And lastly Divine Vanille.. because it’s warm, cozy and evokes a sense of understanding , depth and compassion…which is something you need when you are looking inside at someone’s spirit…

I really enjoyed this video. It made me go away and ponder, "How do my favourite fragrances exemplify me?" 1.) YSL Libre EDP: Assertive (lavender), independent, feminine (orange blossom, jasmine), but sweet (vanilla) and sensual at heart (musk, ambergris). My mother says Libre smells like me. 2.) Bond No. 9 Gold Coast: Fresh (juicy fruit notes), feminine (rose), sweet and strong (vanilla and cedar) at heart. 3.) Skylar's Salt Air: Clean, fresh, and straightforward with a slightly sweet yet salty nature. The intimate sillage expresses my need for solitude and meditative movement (walking by the sea, swimming, and yoga). 4.) Gucci Envy (sadly discontinued but I'm rationing what's left of my second bottle): Youthful green notes, independent metallic note, feminine florals, with an underlying strength of woody heart of cedar and sandalwood. Some notes tend to show up repeatedly in my favourite fragrances. Maybe it's because they express aspects of my nature. Thanks!

Poudre is a good choice for the teaching. I bet you're a fantastic lecturer. Most of mine, apart from my main one and one of a module I was forced to take were very lovely and supportive. I can imagine you would have certainly challenged me and my opinions and endless questions.

I think I'd be in a padded cell if I didn't do my walks. Struggled of late, the weather is just too grim to motivate me. Walking through meadows in a normal early autumn very late summer is generally nice.

Obsessive? Focused more likely. You still haven't bought your fragrance have you 🤣 them vouchers may have an expiry. I have that abandonment fear and fear of failure which is why it's hard for me to get very into things as I don't want it to be gone I guess. I've had my many struggles with all this fragrance stuff but planning ahead and giving myself a break does help.

Same here with regards to introversion, empathy, indecision and obsession Claire. Current obsessions perfume wise are Bal d'Afrique and Gypsy Water. I have samples but FB's are so expensive 😱

Btw i tested Virgin Island Water today and Malibu Party in the Bay is a pretty good dupe, the latter being cheaper, stronger and much longer lasting. It's a fun happy fragrance imo.

What an interesting theme and much appreciated! I am also quite analytical - I tend to dive into research to better understand pros and cons. And as a result, I ponder and dither, but have had no regrets making decisions. In perfumes, I don’t really blind-buy, in the true sense, because I’ve done research obsessively beforehand ( and sample ! ) I’ve noticed that over time, I seem to return to the same fragrances I enjoyed in my early twenties, although I am a bit more diverse. So the following best represent my personality: Chanel Chance eau tendre, Chanel No. 5 l’Eau, Mon Guerlain, La Petite Robe Noire Eau Fraiche.

Some of these I wouldn't have guessed. I would have guessed Tom Ford Black Orchid as one and possibly one of your Miller Harris fragrances. It was interesting to learn about what you picked and why you picked the perfumes you did!

What a brilliant idea for a video, I’m also very empathetic and can be so blunt other times, I think both these parts of us really don’t reflect the other ! Being sensitive and pragmatic actually go very well together as it helps us survive in this crazy world we live in 🤷‍♀️

I like the smell of pencil sharpenings. We used to have a drawer at primary school thst we all sharpened into. It smelt very nice.

You do seem like a blunt but empathetic person. Being straight forward and honest isn't a bad thing. But yes u always seem caring. Yes the Poudre is very u 🩷

Do you have any impulse buys? …I feel like you may have mentioned a couple before but I don’t remember.

I’d definitely have an easy reach (citrus, fruity-floral, or clean) for my easy-going side
A floral-gourmand for my indulgent, fun side
A vanilla for my nurturing side
A soft sandalwood for my introspective serious side

i have an obsessive side to me as well... if it´s perfumes, I obsess about my to-purchase list... i don´t necessarily need to get the perfumes on my list like NOW, but I feel like I NEED to follow my list or else... 😄 good thing I am not as obsessed right now... but then I tend to divert my obsessions to other things like running shoes, or makeup 🤣
