I first saw him playing keyboards with The Waterboys when they opened for U2 on The Unforgettable Fire tour. I went two nights in a row. He was such a standout talent. So many brilliant songs. His death hit me like George Harrison’s. I'll never get over it. You're the One, Karl.

From one of best choruses in all of music ever with Ship of Fools to a top ballad like this that became a world-wide smash for another artist, he is one of Britain's finest songwriters and deserves some recognition for that
