Magnetic Dipole Moment and Torque

In this video we derive an expression for the torque on a rectangular current carrying loop due to an external magnetic field. We show that this torque depends on the loop's magnetic dipole moment. In the course of our derivation we show that the magnitude of the dipole moment for this loop is equal to the product of the loop's current and the area it bounds.
