Can a Google Search Get You Arrested?

With over 3.5 billion Google searches occurring daily, how many of those search terms are illegal? Can a Google search actually get you arrested?

I get scared sometimes when I search illegal stuff with out meaning any harm so I always think something might happen to me like a cop thinking I was meaning the wrong idea

The best thing to do is be careful what you are searching. It's rare that someone gets arrested for a search. As long as you don't have the intent then you're good.

Basically, the authorities are trying to see if you are conspiring to commit something illegal (a crime) by searching on Google, even if it is not on the dark web - as well.

Imagine that I like crime shows on netflix and while watching I like I to google for the specifics of the show and facts of the cases and crimes, now they can arrest me for being interested so much in murder, drugs and terrorism just by curiosity.

I Searched up Daisy’s destruction not knowing that it was an ACTUAL CP VIDEO and I DID NOT click on the video I just saw it was an actually video and I closed the tab and panicked because I had no bad intent but I’m scared something might happen to me

Sometimes I'll get ads or random videos that raise red flags. Google is listening. 😀

I hate this feeling of fear because of an idiot on tiktok who uploaded content of 10 things you should never search on Google and when I see the video I always keep thinking but I never search on Google it's something silly because I'm scared of everything 😅

What if your not signed in to google and you search something illegal but you wipe factory data rest on your phone? Doesn’t it erase all the data on your phone? So will you still get in trouble or no because it’s gone? Because if you get a warning from google does that mean it’s warning you not to view illegal things or is it a warning that your gonna get arrested?
