My grandfather was in the military for a number of years. I lived with him for a while in high school, and every morning at 4 am, he would wake me up whistling this, with breakfast on the table. I didn't have to be at school until 7:45. Love and miss you, Papaw.

The nostalgia of this song playing in the mornings on base. This song will wake you up better than any iPhone ringtone. Still gives me chills lol

I work on a golf course literally right by a national guard base. It’s a perfect way to know when
7 o’ clock strikes in the morning because they play Reveille right on the dot at 7, without fail.

I had Reveille set as my alarm clock tone on my phone for a few years after I got. One thing is for sure I was never late.

Im a truck driver and I’m a lot on the road all over the US and Canada.

I leave the radio on at night in my truck and fall asleep listening to whatever’s on.

I have this channel that at 6 am sharp this plays followed by the Nationql anthem. It’s my alarm. I don’t even set one anymore.

Thank you for sharing the video and thanks to all service members and families. My cousin graduated from West Point roughly 20 years ago and has had a marvelous career in the U S Army. I couldn’t be more proud of him. Thanks again y’all

There are squatters living in my backyard. And just installed high amp speakers. I will use this for an audio check. 5am every morning. 🎉📣

Beautiful. Thank you.
Reminds me of my childhood aboard various USMarine Corps bases.

I play this (repeatedly) in the morning to "encourage" my son to get out of bed.

Loved to wake up to this! I still use it to this day 30+ yrs later as my morning call to duty! However the most effective alarm clock that i ever had the fortune to rise to was the sound of an F-18 breaking the sound barrier right over the FOB that i was stationed at lol! Those Navy boys loved it almost as much as we did

My last name is Rebele. Pronounced in rhyming with this. The division chiefs in navy boot camp saw the humor in playing the recorder in front of my rack every morning of my boot camp.

Any brass players here will realize how impressive being able to play this is.

MCRD San Diego Xmas eve 1982 platoon 2069 the Junior DI told us to hang a sock at the end of our racks in case Santa stops by……. reveille goes off the next morning the DI instructed us to check our sock and to turn the sock inside out to make sure we didn’t miss anything. Needless to say the sock was empty he yelled out to us as we stood on line holding a empty sock, see Santa don’t give a Fcuk about you and neither do I Begin! Bends and thrust thought out the day, Merry Christmas Marines!
