In the UAE where I used to live, The malls are the place for entertainment. They'd have food courts, they would have rides, arcades, and pretty much anything entertaining you can think of.

In prior year they had expanded the mall with Zabeel section, that included new additional shops and activities like go karting etc. Now this mall recently expanded and got a chinatown themed place in it. That itself is a size of one mall. I think they wont stop expanding until it becomes an indoor city.

As a frequent visitor of the mall, just a fun fact, this mall is so big that it has 8 starbuck coffee shops and all of them are always busy.

The largest mall is actually the Iran Mall which is 15mil Sq ft. Meanwhile, the largest mall in my country is 4.1mil Sq ft which actually makes it the largest in S. Asia.
