I use M19 to lock my spindle when changing the chuck (without paying for spindle orientation feature). Without the availability of live tooling I don't see a purpose for using a static break. Please correct me if I am wrong here.

Excellent setup! We have a couple production parts that are threaded onto an arbor and this brake kit allows us to do a parts change either manually or with an M code at the end of a program. It makes parts changes much faster for the operator because before they had to use a second tool hold the chuck in place and now they just need the one spanner.
