This new plans are part of a wider sustainability push and is expected to happen within the next year.

I remember when the Queen received the new Bentley limousine, she reportedly told her chauffeur, "What really matters is how it handles at five miles per hour". Converting them to electric makes a lot of sense. It moves very slowly for relatively short distances. After parking it at the palace it will have plenty of time to recharge.
