Thank you for sharing his story. I've seen his story pop up in a lot of TikTok and YouTube videos with other bloggers ranging from feminists to Asian women living in America, to passport bros, and more.

My personal opinion is that I do feel bad for him that he got taken advantage of by his Filipina wife but warning signs were there. There was a video of her saying she was only with him for money so you can tell that she doesn't really love him other than his money. A woman who genuinely loves you wouldn't really be with you solely for money but rather building a relationship together and being with you for better or for worse.

Plus he didn't have a great relationship with his wife's parent so you can tell that the relationship wasn't going to last forever. Filipinas are family-oriented and if you have a terrible relationship with them then you're going to have a bad relationship with your wife as they have power and influence over her.

Finally, he made the mistake of having kids with her. The worst thing you can do in ASEAN is either spend your life savings, buying a property in her name, bringing her to your home country or have kids with them which makes power dynamics go against you. She can use those kids against you or manipulate you to buy things for her to justify her toxic behavior.

I could see right away that woman wouldn't be a good fit for me based on her motives and toxic behavior and I would have sought a relationship elsewhere. Hopefully, it works out for him and he can see his kids.

I'm Filipino. Unfortunately, the poverty rate in our country is quite high. And women especially coming from the lower income families result to desperate measures to get out of the cycle of poverty. The most common practice is dating and marrying foreigners coming from Developed Countries. Some honestly do it for love, however some do it just for their partner's money.

If you take a woman from a poor family and she is helping support them, either she continues to work, or you pick up the slack. This will be a non-negotiable. Culture and family responsibility is different some say, but I would never let my parents, nor my mother in law go hungry or homeless either. There are many that say it is not their responsibility here in the West as well. Somehow I think we lost our way. That is different than being an ATM or transactional relationship person. Choose wisely and safeguard your finances.

I am a filipina but I still could not understand that older men marry or get in a relationship with a much younger one without a job or probably comrs from a poor family then complains, that comes with it, you need to support them because they will really depend on you financially, so if you don't want to carry the burden choose wisely not just because she's young, sexy and beautiful, be aware of the consequences that comes with it

Just don't marry or live with them in the west. Infidelity in PH costs the woman 6 years in jail. Plus divorce is a hard, expensive process and doesn't incentivise the woman if you play your cards right.

Lessons for foreigners. Dont pick Filipina women if U want serious long term relationships. They are all after your money. Go for gays who seeks long term relationships.
