Upgraded from Weelye stock 12v ESC to
Weelye RX30 24v ESC overview.

*7Pin Male Plug fits RX-30 but is made for 6S LiPo Battery lead Wire

Also Upgraded to 24v 550s 18000rpm with gearbox complete from amazon. Fits exactly no mods needed.

On 24v Weelye RX30 the stock 12v steering servo motor was reversed on mine so i flipped the wires to get it steering the right way. (Steering will be much more snappy with 24v just a heads up) Also when installing the motors, make sure the wheels spin in the same direction. I soldered the motors exactly as the stock gearboxs had them and one was reversed so plz check before you finish. You also need to get a 24v to 12v regulator on Amazon 6pack is $10. Any 12v electronics that come stock or that you add should run thru one. I forgot to test it and it burnout my custom rollbar lights. Also Weelye 24v Trucks come with a hi/low switch which can be had here

*Remember if your on 12v and upgrading to 24v you need to setup your battery voltage to output 24v with a 2nd 12v ran in series, other wise this ESC wont power on. You also need a 24v charger but one can be had here at amazon cheap.

I used 12v MightyMax as additional Battery to run 24v. 12v x 2 in Series;

Battery size slot 1 fits:12v 9ah (stock)
Battery size slot 2 fits:12v 10ah-12ah

So far the best video out there, thanks for your info. I just bought a RX30 because i fried the one my son had, im thinking of running the 12v motor until they hit the ground then upgrade to the 24v motor and gear.

I just bought the weelye kit to convert my sons Best Choice Jeep from 12v to 24v and the steering wiring is different from the kit. Just making sure I'm doing the right thing bcoz there's still 2 wires and as long as I connect the ground with ground wire and power with power wire I shouldn't have any problem.

Also do you suggest to have a regulator for the steering so it is not receiving all 24 volt and possible frying the steering motor?

I hooked up 2 18V makita batteries the original set up had 2 12V batteries. I had fuses hooked up as well and as soon as I turned it on the board burned out. I’m thinking I wired something wrong. Should I be able to support those 2 18V batteries?

I tried a mod upgrade from the 12v to 18v drill batt just how other videos show, on this exact model best choice jeep.

Only, it did not work at all.

Pretendo alterar para 24v. O que percebi é adquirir um rx30 e depois e ligar os cabos do rx23 para o rx30. Pelo que pesquisei só te ho que ter atenção à conversao de 24v para 12v a fiação que vai para o radio e volante e luzes certo? No rssto do carro pode ficar os 24v. O comando do rx23 é compatível com o rx30?
