Holland America Late Night Buffet Snack Food

Get an idea of what food to expect on a Holland America cruise at their late-night snack buffet at the Lido Market. The hours are from 10:30 PM to 11:30 PM, and now even includes some Dutch snack food items as well versus our past Holland America cruises. These were from our New Years cruise aboard the HAL Nieuw Statendam.

I have to admit Cunard trans Atlantic late nite buffet is extreme....I never saw the outside of the ship cause I couldn't stop eating. . Lol

It's such a great help as plant based vegans. I saw plenty to eat. We just booked our first HAL cruise, a 10 day Mexican Riviera and Sea of Cortez cruise based on your wonderful videos.

The late night "snack" buffet on all Holland America Ships is nice, the food is tasty and a nice way to get a small snack. The fare is limited, but not really meant to be a filling meal. When the Lido market is serving during regular hours the food choices are amazing and unlimited ! I have not stepped foot in the main dining room in the last 15 cruises as the Lido market and other specialty restaurants on board are much better. I ALWAYS look forward to the fantastic salad bar on board and have 2-3 a day along with a main course selection. Love Holland America and will continue sailing on HAL ships.

The food looks delicious! Thank you for sharing. Haven't considered Holland America for a cruise because I thought we were too young. But, I'm thinking maybe we're old enough! I'm still wrapping my head around a buffet closing periodically during the day/night. I'm used to cruise buffets being open continuously from very early morning to late a night.

Late night is always difficult. This is indeed exceptional. I usually sail Celebrity, and it's pretty much impossible to get something decent to eat after 9:30/10:00pm unless you're a pizza lover or use room service.

Sailed on zuiderdam Jan. 2022 and they did not have this vast of a selection for late night dining. I notice those cookie trays look pretty empty, they’re so good and they go quick!

At least for now HA late buffet is open compared to Carnival's massive cuts through out the ships.

The food on your video was a lot better than we saw on the Konigsdam in December 2022. In general, there was only ONE station open late at night and most of the food looked like it was leftovers from dinner. The three desserts offered at the late meal were the same three offered at dinner. When they ran out of those, there were no more desserts put out.

Late night food both at the buffet and at the New York Deli was a disappointment. When they ran out of things, you were pretty much out of luck.

That looked very good! Nothing better after a fun night out then broodje (breadroll) kroket with mustard. :) it amazes me how they have dutch stuff :)

I like your videos. Now I have a question. We are booked on HAL to Alaska in September. I have heard conflicting stories about changes in the morning and I hope you can clarify. Is it true that a passenger can choose three items off the menu rather than 5 items like its been in the past. For instance if I wanted an appetizer and a salad, I had to pay for the salad.
I'm hoping that is not true.
