What is Lexicographic Order asked in SNAP 2023? Questions from SNAP | Solved Examples

Lexicographic order is a way of ordering items based on the alphabetical order of their constituent characters or digits. It's the dictionary-like ordering system used to arrange words or numbers.

For words, this order follows the sequence of letters from left to right. The first different letter between two words determines their order. For example:

"Apple" comes before "Banana" because 'A' comes before 'B'.
"Cat" comes before "Cats" because after the shared 'C', 'a' comes before 's'.
For numbers, lexicographic order refers to the order based on individual digits from left to right. If numbers have the same length, the first different digit determines their order. For instance:

23 comes before 34 because the first digit '2' is smaller than '3'.
105 comes before 112 because although they both start with '1', '0' is smaller than '1'.
Understanding lexicographic order is essential in various algorithms, sorting methods, and solving problems related to permutations, combinations, and searching in computer science and mathematics.

Sir in question with L1 and L2 lists we already have a number for each word. So shouldn't we use those numbers when arranging them rather than the number of their order? 8:28

8:52 Sir, aren't we supposed to arrange those lists in order first and then add both of them?

Generally, people don't even receive 10% of likes compared to the number of views on their videos. The fact that almost 20% of people have liked your videos clearly shows how much people love you.
