A political slugfest has begun over Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma's remark on Sharad Pawar. Assam CM had took a dig over the NCP stalwart's remark regarding India's stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict, saying, "I think Sharad Pawar will send Supriya (Sule) to Gaza to fight for the Hamas." Pawar has termed PM Modi's support for Israel as 'unfortunate' after PM showed solidarity with Israel after it was attacked by Hamas. Reacting sharply to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s jibe about sending her to Gaza to fight Hamas amid the ongoing war, Working President of Nationalist Congress Party Supriya Sule said that even though Bharatiya Janata Party is disrespectful towards women, she still had hopes from CM Sarma but she is surprised by his approach towards women.
