Meet Fox News' Latest Host Straight from 'The View'

"Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving ABC's "The View" and taking a role as a co-host on Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends," Fox News announced and "The View" confirmed.

"I have been a long-time fan of 'Fox & Friends' and am excited to be joining their team in September as it is an honor to call the Fox News Channel my new television home," Hasselbeck said in a written Fox News Channel announcement."*

I did search "TYT Obama" and watch the first few minutes of the videos that came up. I will finish them later on to gain full perspective. Thank you for showing that he is fair in his attacks.

Honestly, Cent is not the problem I have with TYT. I do believe he can voice his opinion in whatever way he chooses. My real problem is some of his viewers that use his videos as facts to proove a point. That is also the problem with media in general. No one looks for facts, they just use commentary

And lastly lol as a long time watcher of the view since I was like 11 or 12 and I'm 18 now I cried like a fucking baby today when elisabeth was talking about how she was leaving and it was sad she is such a lady and a good sweet woman who has always stood strong in her conviction no matter if the audience or majority if not all of the people at the table were against her.

Granted the View never denied Elisabeth's departure Barbra being the mistress professional/journalist she is is all about nuance and wording. She said no one is FIRING elisabeth but if anyone for any reason decides that they want to leave that door is of course always open, but to end the rumors no elisabeth is not being fired.

I have not seen him blast a Democrat. I'm not saying he doesn't blast them too, just that I haven't seen it myself. I just do not understand why he has to mock people who don't agree with his point of view.

My other question is, and this goes for all media outlets not just here, why do they blast those who do not agree with them? Why not show positive and negative aspects of the debate. That way it would be helping with the problem and not just blaming one side or one person.

I think people make the mistake of thinking that a host should be neutral. I do not think so. As long as hosts declare their bias and are fair to their news subjects (i.e. not fudge the truth and not give them a free pass), it is fine to be biased towards a subject. Too many journalists of all stripes cozy up to their side of the aisle.

I actually kind of like Megyn Kelly. She actually has a law degree and, while she does lean right, it seems that she keeps it real more than any other Fox host. She doesn't cave into the conservative males when it comes to women's rights like the bimbo on Fox and Friends, Gretchen Carlson. She just sits there and looks pretty for the male audience. I actually value Megyn Kelly's opinion on things usually.

I wouldn't be surprised if the View producers hadn't consulted with Fox in the first place to find Hasselbeck. The interesting thing is going to be seeing the new "conservative face" on the View.

if fox news is so concerned with women's rights, why is it that they don't support women in the military, a woman's right to choose, and support candidates that believe that pregnancy doesn't occur from 'legitimate rape'?

and yes, a network should have a variety of opinions...so i guess fox news is out, along with msnbc.

If you think Elisabeth is so stupid, then why don't you apply for a TV job at ABC or FOX news. After all, if she can do it, then anybody can do it, right? Once you actually get passed the hiring process, try keeping your job on the network for 10 years.

Hasselbeck kept her job for nearly 10 years which means, firstly, ABC felt that no one else was worth replacing her and, secondly, ABC had to constantly out bid other network's pay offers, such as FOX, in order to keep her.

Secondly, a lot of people beat up on Elisabeth for being a conservative or they take sound bites from when she idk like years ago said something really stupid BUT elisabeth is a really smart woman, she's a "lady", and she's logical (at least on the view) she's not a race baitor or woman hater or homophobe/anti-gay in any degree so hopefully she's give Fox or more "moderate" image with her degree of conservatism!

She the reason I could no longer watch the view. She would always start an argument, it made the show impossible to watch.

Her last day on the view and they hardly said goodbye to her. Meredith, Lisa, and Joy all got a whole show dedicated to them for their last show. That tells you a lot about that pill, Elisabitch and what they thought of her. She used to sit through a show and yawn and stretch while the guest was being interviewed. She is not a professional and she is very rude!
