Good cold weather rowing advice. If the hands get cold early in a row, they will never get warm again (especially the finger tips with blood flow further constricted by he pressure on the oar during the drive). While I have nothing against pogies, I have a different solution. I use cheap cotton gardening gloves for the first 10 minutes of the row. Once the blood is flowing, my hands will stay warm (usually). If I donˋt let the blood vessels constrict, my hands can stay pretty warm. However, everyone is different. You are right about not being able to row properly when the hands are cold.

Like the format of you talking whilst watching the rowing footage. 👌

Make sure no two pieces of kit you are wearing match. The more clashing colours you can wear at once, the faster you go.

At least for kayak I use 3 mm neoprene gloves with pre-curved fingers for temperatures below zero. No blisters, the pre-curving makes the difference.

Wearing a hat helps in cold weather. I've read that you lose quite a bit of heat from the top of your head.
