Circular Polarization. A circularly polarized light wave (bright blue). The yellow arrow represents the rotating electric field vector. The horizontal and vertical components of the helical wave are shown as shadows cast on the walls. Circular polarisation is used to split left and right views in 3D cinema. This animation illustrates the relationship between circular motion and sine waves.

So what happens when a right hand circular polarized signal is intercepted by an antenna with left hand circular polarization? Will it still pick up and show on a spectrum analyzer but sub-optimally?
