Here's a really dumb idea: Add a lubricant which can be used on a creaking to make it passive

As silly as it is, I feel like the oversaturated garden could make for a genuinely interesting biome. It might even work as a horror biome like the pale garden, because instead of having a monster like the creaking that blends in, it could be that everything EXCEPT the monster stands out way too much to see anything.

In all seriousness, thank you Knarfy. You may have made a joke out of it, but you have legitimately addressed my main problem with the Creaking. There's just no reason to fight it. You can harvest the wood and even the heart during the day, so why would you go in the Pale Garden at night?

The Crunching feels like it’d make a great bear trap, like maybe you step on one while you’re watching the Creaking and suddenly they can move in on you even when watched since you can’t run. Either that or it just traps and repeatedly munches you.

Also reminds me a lot of the Great Hunger from that mob vote.

What if at night time, Kermit starts to follow you, pulls out a banjo, and sings his famous song, rainbow connection, he is UNKILLABLE while he sings, and he will keep following you like a pet wolf, teleporting to you if you get to far, and then if you leave the mangrove forest Kermit will teleport you back near the croaking heart, so you can never escape the rainbow!
And yes he sings the entire 3 minute song… on repeat… the entire night… and of course since he is singing, you can’t fall asleep…. No one can.

Extra features: his singing actually is heard by everyone, but to the people not close it’s very subtle and it is slightly bass boosted.
