The sharpie mark for the breeder to identify the rats is a good idea. My breeder used hair clippers to shave the fur in a specific small spot on the rats body, he looked like he had a sleeveless tank top on his right arm when we got him it was super funny.

I can relate so much to the blind panic and worst-case scenario thinking when you can't find an animal. I sometimes even have it with my indoor cat even though there's no way he could go outside and I just have a 1 bedroom flat. I fully believe he can turn invisible ^^

I got two baby girl rats and a week later I drove an hour to rescue two older girls who had been abandoned by their previous owner. If a college friend hadn't visited and found the girls with no food and water, I dread to think what would have happened...and the owner hadn't been back in over 10 weeks when they finally decided to rehome. I am so deeply in love with them all. One of my rescue girls would screech if you so much as looked at her, I have had her and her sister for 2 weeks and last night the most timid girl came up to me, sniffed my face and started trying to tug my sleeve into her cage, my other rescue girl climbs up onto my shoulder and it nearly brings me to tears that they are beginning to trust me after everything they went through. My silver fawn younger girls are so affectionate and let me stroke them. Thank you so so much for providing me with all the information I needed to introduce my four girls into a little mischief, and how to provide my girls with a safe, active and happy home, I even made them a base border for their cage with correx so they can forage and dig. Wishing you endless joy with your babies <3

I'm happy someone has a good lady 24 hours at least. Yesterday I went in and one of my rats were hurt we checked the others and another was sick we just got her so idk what it was from. The sick one died and the other I brought to the vets. I was told that she may not survive. So that's my day.
