Bob Barker, legendary ‘Price is Right’ host, dead at 99 | New York Post

Bob Barker, the legendary host of “The Price is Right” and an outspoken animal rights activist, has died of natural causes at his Hollywood Hills home. He was 99.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce that the World’s Greatest MC who ever lived, Bob Barker, has left us,” his longtime spokesman Roger Neal confirmed to The Post.

I remember back in (I think) 1987 when he decided to show his natural grey hair.
He said he vacationed in Europe and saw so many grey-haired men that he felt foolish with his dark dyed hair. He gained so much respect for that too.

He and Mark Goodson started The Price is Right and they thought maybe they would get two or three years out of it. 50 plus years later, the show is still going strong. A sweet, beautiful spirit. While I knew at some point his time was near, this is still very sad to hear about Bob no longer with us anymore. I had always loved watching him host The Price Is Right, even though I never personally met him. And he made the show what it was, in my opinion. May he forever rest in peace and even in Heaven, still remind us to control the pet population and make sure our pets are spayed or neutered. ❤
