I pray that we all grow in loving God whether we feel like it or not.

We love HIM because HE loved us first, before your mom & pop even met, he knew you.. HIS love for mankind is unfathomable.. I use to be confused as well but then he revealed his truth to me. We try our best not to sin not because of the fear of punishment(which is what we do as immature followers of Yeshua, sort of like children afraid of a spanking) but as we grow in HIM we dont want to sin because we realize that he really loves us and only is protecting us from our evil nature, we begin to understand why he says sin is Deceiving, manipulating and leads to death and we DESIRE to please HIM (Thank you Father). This can only be done by having a relationship with HIM as real as your earthly etc. He's more real then them. As he becomes your Father you'll naturally start to understand why he died for you and you'll hate what he hates, love what he loves, this kingdom we're in will fade in comparison to HIS Eternal Kingdom and what he has prepared for those who LOVE HIM. When we were children we listened to our parent's because we were afraid of a beating lol, not because we loved them. That love for our parent's grew and matured as we got older and matured, then we listened to them not because we feared a beating, but because we actually LOVE them. Take time out of your day and ask Our Creator to show you HIS love and ways, do this with ALL your being and He will answer you. When doctors tell us if we dont take this medication or eat this, we're going to die, we forget EVERYTHING in our lives and we obey doctors orders(well some of us) God is no different. Meditate on HIM more then TV, music, friends, family more then ANYTHING as if your life depends on it cause it does, and he'll show you HIS love (people will call you crazy but its ok!) Ask Him to be your Father, Lord, Master. Pledge ALL your allegiance to HIM no matter how many times you fail, do this with ALL your heart, not because you fear a beating, you wont stop trying because you LOVE HIM.

Someone please help me brother and sisters!! This video has made me stumble. The feeling that I was saved by faith alone was producing so much love for Christ and God and allowing me to grow in a real way. But this video has caused me not to have assurance about my salvation. I feel like im trying to force myself to love God in order to attain salvation. And I now doubt if I love God enough! I value him soooo much but more times than others I can feel this love in a stronger way. I just don’t know if I’m saved anymore I recieve Christ as my attoning sacrifice but the very grounds of this love was rooted in the fruit he was giving me and the sacrifice made for me. Problem is how am I supposed to develop love before attaining salvation when the foundation of my love was that I am saved?

Why is it that so many sermons on how to love God is actually not about the how but the what. Scripture says to love God, but how? The only verse I can find is Paul who says only the Holy Spirit can help you to love God.

I'm a new christian (8 months) who is reading the bible for the first time to get to know God...but I don't know how to love God. I'm a very logical person and I don't know how to feel unconditional love for something that lets all who don't "pass the test" go to hell forever. I'm deeply grateful for being saved, but I don't know how to love Him. Now if I want to go to heaven I have to find a way to set aside my deep grievances and pains for everyone allowed to suffer in hell to force myself into a false sense of joy and worship for something who's harsh reasoning I cannot understand. I want to love God. I fear and respect God. But I don't know where to find this necessary sense of love.

It should be noted that this a multi-facited look at the book in this section he focusing on necessity. So quite naturally this will be a look at the commands or law of loving God. And certainly all men fail at this. It is true there will be no God haters or folks apathetic to God in heaven.
