AMD chips are absolutely insane value right now.
but it's horses for courses.
As a general purpose laptop AMD absolutely creams intel, better functionality with spreadsheets, better graphics etc etc.Much better for a casual user with multiple use case.

For a content creator intel still has the edge with video encoders.

On pretty much all laptops, dropping to 720p is a nice performance boost. (And if you notice and don’t like 720p, 900p is a nice middleground also with a good performance boost).

im surprised that intel gpu sneaked on nvidia and ati over these used to remember that ati and nvidia igpu used to be a little better in a low end section while intel igpu was very terrible until now is a game changer i think if intel igpu if they keep it up they will dominate amd and nvidia

if you old computer and on a tight budget it's a waste of money to buy a gpu
buy apu and play on 720p with your old screen and when you get the money upgrade your screen and buy a gpu and you will definitely never regret the money you spent on upgrading
