Inside the UofH COUGARS' $25,000,000 BASKETBALL Facility | Royal Key

Over the past few years, the Houston Cougars Men's Basketball program has been one of the most successful in the nation. Having made the Final Four in 2021, the program has made six appearances in the Final Four, which is tied for 10th most all-time. Designed by DLR Group with great input from head coach Kelvin Sampson, the program now has a state-of-the-art facility to match its success in the form of the 53,000 square-foot Guy V. Lewis Development Facility. The Cougars' three-story home is complete with the latest technologies (docking stations in lockers, video walls, optical scanners for building security, USB charging ports), a brand new locker room, floor-to-ceiling windows in the atrium and one of the coolest bird's eye views of the practice court from the player lounge.

I was a student from 2015-2020 and that building was BRAND NEW, still some unfinished sections on the inside. It is so nice and our program has exploded since then!! We are a basketball school, would love for the football program to mimic CKS’s success.

Just found this channel, appreciate the spotlight on my alma matter! Also appreciate the comments about Coach Sampson, we're damn lucky to have him as a coach. Great to see that UH is finally looking like an actual destination to get your education rather than a third or fourth choice. speaking as someone who attended from 2010-14 who lived on campus coming from Dallas; the football, campus, and academics have all made huge improvements. Sorry for the long comment, just proud of how far we've come :p
