Beating Minecraft's Hardest Modpack With Nothing // Episode 8 - Save The Planet, Eat The Ocean

In this eighth episode of the series, I raise serious questions about my perceived technical literacy, make a theoretical lake and stick a theoretical vacuum into it in pursuit of fabulous theoretical prizes, and rebrand myself as a magician-janitor whose only life goal is to ruin Azanor's hopes and dreams.

GT - New Horizons is an intricately designed and custom-coded kitchen-sink style modpack built on the 1.7.10 version of Minecraft. It integrates hundreds of Minecraft's flagship mods into a Gregtech framework - completely overhauling the mods' traditional progression in the process, and radically rebalances any of the technologies those mods may offer.

Because doing things the normal way is 'too easy', I am following a ruleset based off of the (in)famous Garden Of Grind ruleset that places me in a completely empty superflat dimension. Every single resource I need, including blocks to stand on, has to be created out of nothing by finding clever workarounds and weird mechanics. Unlike in Garden Of Grind, I am not restricted to only my starting dimension - it's just that every other dimension starts out just as empty as my first one.

There is a minecraft mechanic that can cause zombies to spawn even in lit areas if other zombies are dying nearby. i.e. zombies dying in your mob farm are calling out and rarely causing other zombies to spawn, which are in turn killing your villagers. Apparently "In Hard difficulty, zombies can spawn additional zombies to "help" when damaged"
