VOX amPlug Metal + Cabinet Review and Sound Demo

A sound demo of the Vox Amplug Metal running through the Vox mini cabinet. It gets LOUD at 3:30 because I switch the audio from my iPod to the actual mics so watch out! :D

Techy details: AT2020 mic for cabinet, SM58 mic for vocals, M-Audio Fast Track Pro interface, recorded with Garageband on a mid-2014 MBP. Guitar is a Squier VM Strat; I'll put a link to its own full video soon.

Thanks for an honest review. Other reviews have it run thru plug-ins, amplifiers, etc. making it sound far superior than what it actually is.

I diy my own amplug cab from old center speaker that have twin 4 inch inside .then bought a 12v bluetooth amplifier with bass and treble control on board.install directly on speaker box..and added an output/input jack like vox cab has ..minus is mine cant use batteries.. I don't try with battery yet but i don't have to at the moment cause it only used at home

Hi. I bought the cabinet today along with the clean Amp2. There is a strong hiss noise & it get stronger as I move the volume or gain up. Very disappointed because I was sure they make it sound good because both are from the same company.
Any suggestion to keep noise out ?

Small cab isn’t good. You should plug the amplug into a full size 2x12 or 4x12 cab, then use the AUX port jack to amplug and far end into your guitar. Set the gain/vol/tone and give it a go!
