I’ve been born and raised in a Christian home. A church that was proclaimed to be an Evangelical church
I remember wanting and verbally making a proclamation of wanting to follow Jesus when I was about 4-5 yrs old I have a very clear memory of my mother one Sunday morning standing up to speak during our “praise and testimony time.” This was a time where the congregation could stand and share a personal praise moment, ask for prayer, or just share anything on the heart My mother chose to stand and share about how I chose to follow God. As a little child I remember listening to my mother speak these words As she finished I remember crawling over the pew where we sat and I crawled up into her arms and started to cry! I can’t tell you why exactly I cried But I can tell you that something resonated within me to become “melted!”
You talk about “KNOWING, ” if you are a part of the family of God or not

So I am going to challenge and request you to clarify on that!!!
Matthew 19:3-5 talks about “child like faith!”
Without child like faith we CAN NOT enter the kingdom of God

Talk to me about “KNOWING, ” you are a part of the family of God ??!!

I’ve been raised, I’ve tried to raise my own children in the faith

That moment I recall to you was sooo vivid and true

Yet as I grew up I struggled and still struggle with am I saved and a part of God’s family!

YES 100% the Holy Spirit confirms within our heart Romans 8:16
Yet you have to remain and be a tuned to the Holy Spirits voice!

I grew up choosing, learning “the way, ” but it was my parents religion and choice for most of it

I am 47yrs old and I am fighting!!!!, to battle my insecurities and fears, and RELEARN how to properly hear the Holy Spirits voice!!!!

It’s not a first time, quick confirmation to hear and KNOW!!!!, you are a part of the family of God until a person RENEWS THEIR MIND!!!!….Romans 12:2

We go to God in every trouble and we have victory by Jesus blood on the cross! We do not say we are wanting to suffer but if we suffer than we trust and pray with supplication for the victory Jesus bore for us.
Yea we will have suffering but the Lamb overcame for us bearing it but we only receive it by faith in Him.
It is our adversary the Devil that puts bad things on people not God. He may allow it so we can come to Him and grow in faith.

This is such a blessing to watch this tonight (Jan 18th) after meeting up with an old friend and chatting about God and our different journeys. From the heart is a man known. Praise God, The Redeemer changes hearts and minds. And lives. What I consume has changed. What springs forth from me has changed.
Does my Lord speak to me? He certainly does and praise His holy name, has power to overcome even myself.
God is real, ever present and accessible. He spoke creation into existence!
My desire is my voice to him. I must earnestly, openly, diligently seek Him. He is to be my desire, my voice. And amen
