Hey everyone, I wanted to share this clip of a one carat pear cut lab grown diamond next to a one carat oval cut lab diamond. Both of these diamonds were purchased from James Allen (link above) and cost roughly $2000 (including diamond, setting, tax and free shipping).

What's great about this comparison is both diamonds are graded about the same with the only difference being the way they are cut. This allows you to really get a fair comparison between the two cuts side by side. Both look amazing and stand out in their own way.

One great thing about both oval cut and pear cut diamonds is that their carat weight shows really well. Both oval and pear diamonds will look bigger compared to round, cushion, princess or emerald cut diamonds of the same carat weight. This gets you more of that "WOW!" factor when people see your ring.

Both of these diamonds are lab diamonds, but you can expect natural earth diamonds to look nearly identical. You can save a lot of money going with a lab diamond, which can be spent on a fancier setting or upgrading to a larger stone. If you're in the market for an engagement ring I recommend you consider a lab diamond as you will get a lot more ring for your money.
