I know I'm late to the Percy Jackson musical club here but I just ADORE it. Especially this part of the song. The way it illustrates their characters as foils with the reprise of Good Kid!! I love it.
I don't own the musical or the characters obviously! Just the art. Hope you enjoy it!

I love this part, it really shows the parallels between Luke and Percy, and how the biggest difference was that Percy had people there for him, and Luke didn't.

This had me way more emotional than it should have. The eye color change, the flashbacks, the insane grin- I literally can't. The worst part? Luke was a compelling villain. He was right about how bad the gods treated their kids. He was WRONG in the way he went about trying to create change. Please discuss under this. I want to hear people's thoughts.

You know what's scary to think about that Percy trusted Luke so much, he basically viewed him as an older brother. The scary part is if Luke didn't reveal himself like that he could have probably manipulated him into hating the Gods to the point where he would join Kronos and since Percy was the child of the prophecy the Gods would've been screwed

Little rant: Luke was really easy to hate as some of the stuff he did really made deep scars. But in the end it was also a very sad and sympathetic reason we could all understand.

I actually feel really bad for Luke. It’s been years since I read the original series so It’s less fresh but what Luke was fighting for will never leave me. Percy even eventually admits he understands Luke the older he gets. Luke had nobody. He lost thalia, his best friend and person who he based his support system on, his mom chose being an Oracle over him, his father never went out of his way to contact him often or make sure he was ok AFTER his quest which failed and left him literally scarred. Sure you can say he had Annabeth and the people in his cabin, but he was supposed to protect them. You can’t fall back on the people who rely on you for safety. At the end of the day he was confused as to why people weren’t joining him because he was so hurt and alone. What he did was bad, there’s no doubt about it, but he was pushed to the point where he thought he had no choice but sacrifice himself for his cause. Even before he killed himself to kill Kronos, he knew that he’d never be able to return to the home he once had. He’s just a kid who got in too deep to escape. Also this is so good and it shows how similar Luke and Percy are!

How did you know that I've been listening to just this party of this musical on repeat all the time. Also I really want to commend you for now you portrayed Luke, I loved the little flashbacks they were amazing. He's such a complex character and you really pulled out off and showed how broken he is inside. Congratulations!!!
