YouTube is LOSING The Comment War

YouTube is plagued by a number of issues, but one of the most obnoxious (and seemingly most prevalent) is spam/scam bots in the comment section of videos. Sometimes harmless, sometimes horribly damaging... these accounts are allowed to persist for years, with no action taken, and hundreds of millions of dollars in damage.

After making great strikes in their efforts to solve the problem of accounts being hijacked for crypto scam livestreams, YouTube needs to pivot some resources into tackling the widespread phenomenon of malicious bots in the comment section of nearly all popular videos.

What I hate most is how bots easily get away with things humans could never do, like posting a link in the comments or spelling a full slur our. How in the actual hell do bots get away with things humans could NEVER get away with???

I love that the bots can drop urls (under every comment, word for word the same) and slurs but I can't explain my opinion on things.

I’m getting so sick of my comments getting deleted, none of my replies seem to post, whether it’s a true crime video or a video about mountain bikes, no matter what I say my replies get deleted, but I’ll still get replies to the comment I commented on while I have no comment on it. Its like I’m being mocked.

Luis Rossmann, the right to repair advocate, has not only had YouTube remove the most uploaded comments on his entire channel, but YouTube has also deleted his comments on his own videos.
