I can feel that ecstasy whenever I go skating and I hit a new spot or land a new trick. Skateboarding is a challenging sport which requires of so much skill and so much courage, so when I push my comfort zone and try to hit the bigger set of stairs or that really dangerous rail, or when I take a hounded millions attempts to get that unbelievably difficult trick on lock, and finally do both, I can feel that ecstasy.

Too bad it is so easy to get into flow when you are playing computer games and so hard to get into a flow when you are writing a report...

Holy shit! Everything suddenly clicked now. All of my unfinished projects are the result of moving out of the 'flow'. Gotta balance challenge/skill. Thanks for this video man, you're doing a great job!

Just wanted to say thank you for these videos, people need to realise the knowledge you are presenting to them at no cost. Unfortunately when I read a book I do not absorb the information as efficent as I do when I listen to an audio book.. but your craft of being very clear on your message for anyone to understand is very impressive. Il be sure to share this channel with friends.

Thank you.

Find out what it is that you "love"

This is the problem here
25 y.o. and still don't know what I "love" enough to spend time on

Every single human being suffers from their own pursuit of happiness because they think that they can create it for themselves. This is a distorted way to think of ones life because it is born of confusion. Happiness is based in what one can do together out of devotion and compatibility with another in the world to make it a better place for all. The pursuit of happiness is the most destructive thing one can pursue in ones life; for we are not here in this world to be happy but to "WORK". Please think about this carefully and walk around it for some time. For to see anything of value one must take the time to look at it from all angles. Here in the physical manifest world it is all about "doing" ; where each of us have come from is about "being". We are here to fulfill the need of the soul which was given to each of us before we entered into the world. All of us here have forgotten where we have come from and the promise we made to those who sent us into the world. To remember this is part of the work mentioned earlier. If we only knew what it took to send us here we would work much harder in remembering why we have come, who we must meet and what we must do with those we are destined to meet. We all search for meaning for life and in this search there is the search for the truth. The truth of why we are here and what it all means! I have been a part of this search for most of my life and in my search I found this or perhaps it found me. It will take you a life time to dive into this and practice its Teachings for it comes from our Source...the Source of all Life. The links I provide here are all connected but it is up to you through experience to connect them. I pray you do for the freedom of the world depends on this and you!! alliesofhumanity.org greatwavesofchange.org newmessage.org

1:12 shows a graph where average income tripled and happy people still stayed the same, while ignoring that average cost probably tripled as well.

Playing Age of Empires gives an awesome flow. I remember spending all day being challengeded without even water.

This is so true. When I get bored and sit at my piano I feel happy, but when the sheet music is too complicated I feel stressed out and do something else.

This Flow... as a kid, I would spend at least 16hrs on the weekends trying to progress in video games. From trying to Beat the highest/best time in racing games to completing whole seasons (Literally 1st College Preseason game to the end of my Professional career) and developing "my player" in sports games to be the greatest. I WAS OBSESSED WITH ACCOMPLISHING all Accolades. Heisman, Player of The Year, Rookie of the year, championships, hall of fame, etc... I was really really good. and then I would play for Money and the love of the game slowly dwindled because I didn't feel like my talents were able to actually shine because of the technology at the time. I didn't think the IQ of the game was realistic. better said, the game was dumb and slow to react and my mind and fingers were years ahead. that was almost 10 years ago.

but now, I have been searching for something to challenge me with the skills I have. I Finally Found 1. I found a career that I want to pursue that will bring me joy/bliss and it is definitely challenging! I found another career but I'm not will be fun. it will challenge me mentally, physically & emotionally. they both will challenge my character and my relationship with my family. I'm up for it. I don't think a regular 9-5 is for me.

Thank God I found this information right on time. my life will forever be changed.

You have been inspirational. This has been my favorite book since college in 2001. That was my first glimpse of why making music was joyous and fun!

Thank you for posting this!

This is amazing!!!
I am not fluent in English, but I suppose this talent is called "to gist". You gist information so gently out of the book and so engaging it is to watch this 5-min video!!!
This is an ultimate "how to choose a book" experience and a very nice way to review what you've read long time ago!
Thank you so much for what you're doing!
Keep doing this! Our kids will watch these videos =)
