Satisfying Lawn Aeration

While we’ve had nice lawns in the past at previous properties, to get to that point we’ve always started from scratch. Most times starting with “fresh” rollout lawn which with a little TLC, is relatively easy to manage with frequent fertilising and herbicide/insecticide treatments as required.

We thought we’d take a different approach with Glenn’s lawn this time, which is currently made up of kikuyu, fine fescue, and a whole range of weeds.

In this fourth episode, we rented a Ryan Turf Aerator to complete the final part of the machine based “renovation” before moving to the process of overseeding.

I did this to my front, side and back yard and had to miss work the following day due to being sore the next day cause I don’t do labor lol 😆

You will never need to do this chore if you know how to spray Air8 and Dethatch. And every two years use a compost spreader. Much more fun and a whole lot less hassle.

Name of aeration machine? What is the minimum the plug / core needs to be for overseeding to work? Thanks
