Verizon has updated their prepaid smartphone plan lineup with more features of interest to nomads, such as priority and mobile hotspot data.

The prepaid Unlimited Plus smartphone plan now comes with 50GB of priority and 25Gb of high-speed mobile hotspot data. The Unlimited smartphone plan now comes with 5GB of hotspot data.

They also completely dropped their lowest tier 5GB plan and lowered all plans' base prices by $5/month.

The changes also bring Verizon's prepaid options closer in terms of features to their postpaid plans, and also the prepaid options from competitors.

I have the Unlimited (non-Plus) prepaid plan, but don't have the 5gb of hotspot, it still offers to give it to me for $5 more :(

Just to check - the unlimited prepaid plan change does not affect the unlimited prepaid plan for jet packs that was discontinued but still available to grandfather’d in customers.

I've heard of problems with ultra wide. Too much searching slows the data speed. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.

next month they will create another premium plan with Premium for Premium users with premium data over premium data over other premium data in premium location for premium phones. 😂😂😂 and even you decide to pay them all your money you will still have poor connections and caps and high ping.brhhh

I decided to pass on Verizon prepaid, none of their pre-paid plans include HD video streaming and for me that is not acceptable because I watch alot I mean alot of YouTube videos and Netflix, I went with AT&T prepaid instead.

So either way it's stupid! I'm on the lowest one which apparently they discontinued... And all the stuff that they offer I don't want! I don't use hotspot. I don't use all these channels that they're giving us. They're trying to give me a Google Play pass as well I don't want it. Just more crap to have to cancel later on when they full price you! The only thing keeping me with Verizon is the thought of the free upgrade that I keep getting texts over saying that I get a free Samsung 23 plus upgrade. But I'm not sure if 60 to $70 is even worth it anymore. There's another phone company that's offering unlimited for $15 a month. The only downfall is you have to pay in advance for three or four months in order to get it.
