BMPCC 6K - Hands-on Review
Показать описание
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k offers heaps of features at a reasonable price, however, there are some major flaws you’ll need to accept first.
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K currently priced at $2,500 has a 6144×3456 Super 35 image sensor and an EF lens mount. This now the third iteration of the Pocket Cinema Camera continues the theme of incredible value, but they always come with notable flaws. And this version continues that tradition.
It can Internally record 6k 12-bit RAW to SD, Cfast2.0 or external SSD via the USB-C port. With a top frame rate of 120 frames per second (fps) in 2.8k and gives you the choice between Blackmagic RAW and ProRes. It has an output of 10-bit 4:2:2 video via HDMI. Lastly, It has a headphone jack and not one, but two audio inputs, though neither are full-sized XLR.
Blackmagic Design put a ton of value in this camera. It has a wonderful image quality and 6K RAW for just $2500, that’s just crazy. However, it has some big hurdles to cross to be a strong usable camera. Stock up on batteries, media and storage because you will need a ton of each. But the EF mount gives a ton of lens options. The biggest question you’ll need to answer is if the pros outweigh the cons for you. We liked the camera, and if you are in need of its unique features, there isn’t a better option out there. If you’re not, however, you might be able to save a few bucks elsewhere.
