Dude when you first showed me this exercise it made me hate you cause it was hard. But it's a good exercise.

This is a really cool exercise. It's very removed from actual composition, but also relates back to it in certain ways. Nice way to make your brain think in different ways.

This was helpful, thanks. It's also helped me understand how different inversions might suggest different scales; that final arpeggiated inversion had a really great phrygian vibe.

Do this with a diminished triad/fully diminished chord and you'll keep singing the same notes, but with different solfege

Hi, as a spanish speaker is weird to see a "B" notated as "Ti", considering that "B" in spanish is "Si" which sounds identical to "C" in english.
Anyway great content as usual, greetings from Chile.

This, and so many other videos, are so fucking helpful. They answer questions I didn't know I had, and each time I come up on the process of making music, your advice tends to stick the best. Don't stop making videos Ben!

I've been practicing intervals for awhile and was starting to get into chords. I think this is a great way to bridge the gap and help fortify the intervals that I've already been working hard at. Thanks!

Do you reckon that if the sequences became muscle memory, it'd then be ineffective to continue practicing them (given that you'd no longer be consciously thinking about the intervals involved)?

Great video! As a native spanish speaker, movable do confuses me when singing the arpeggios. For us Do is always C so when I’m gonna do the inversions my brain always automatically wants to call all C’s Do, all D’s Re, all E’s Mi, all F’s Fa, all G’s Sol, all A’s La and all B’s Si hahaha

Man, that have some phrygian evocation. What about making a song using this chord progression? I love your craziness and creativity, it's breathtaking and inspiring!!!!

Other than saying “poopy mush, ” video pretty much parallels my morning solfege singing ritual/exploration. Thank you for the awesome video sing-along, vocal ear training validation, and virtual camaraderie. Best, Daniel 🙏🏼

I really love that Cmaj7 Abmaj7 Fmaj7 Dbmaj7 progression. Started writing right away. That first inversion is a nice voicing and the last one is spicy. Thanks!
