Medieval Engineering: Building Da Vinci's Armored Vehicle from Cardboard [with schemes]

Leonardo da Vinci's fighting vehicle also known as Da Vinci's Tank is one of the conceptions of the revered Italian polymath and artist Leonardo da Vinci.
The concept was designed while Leonardo da Vinci was under the patronage of Ludovico Sforza in 1487.[2] Sometimes described as a prototype of modern tanks, Leonardo's armoured vehicle represented a conical cover inspired by a turtle's shell. The covering was to be made of wood and reinforced with metal plates that add to the thickness. Slanting angles would deflect enemy fire. The machine was powered by two large cranks operated internally by four strong men. The vehicle was equipped with an array of light cannons, placed around the perimeter.
This model represents all the beauty and might of this famous machine.

Великолепно! Это не только зримое воплощение идеи, но и дань уважения великому Леонардо. Как и в предыдущих моделях, удивительное ощущение, что модель изготовлена не из картона, а из соответствующего реальной машине материала. В данном случае -дерево и металл.
В этом видео проявилась ещё одна сторона таланта моделиста. Я имею ввиду написанную и прочитанную им балладу. Вдохновенная, романтичная. Тембр голоса, ритм, музыкальный фон подобраны идеально.
